WEEK OF 10/14

Please send nutritious and neat snacks for the students to enjoy.

HALF DAYS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Last week’s class motto was: We Are a Community
This week’s class motto is: We Are a Community

This week we will continue to discuss the community aspect of our classroom and our school. This will lay the foundation for relationships and cooperation in the classroom. We will foster an attitude of pride in our classroom and in or school.

Volunteers - I am so pleased to have so many parents ready and willing to volunteer this year! I just wanted to remind everyone that all volunteers are required to have fingerprint clearance here at Archway Classical Academy. This policy is strictly monitored and even applies to those who think they might like to chaperone on one of our field trips in the spring. If you are interested and have not obtained the necessary clearance, please see the Archway website for more information, or ask at the front office.

Below is a breakdown of what we will be doing in class this week:

Language Arts- We will begin reading Robin Hood.  This will be a most exciting book. We will follow Robin Hood on his many adventures and meet his gang of friends. This book is rich with vocabulary and character traits. There will be a lot of difficult vocabulary associated with this book.

History/Geography – We continue our trip through the Middle Ages this week. We will study city life and the women of the middle ages.

Science–This week we begin our extensive study of meteorology. This promises to be a very exciting unit filled with activities and experiments!
