WEEK OF MAY 12th

Last Day of School- Friday, May 23rd

Half Days- 5/20-5/23

This week:

History: The next two weeks in history are very important weeks and should not be missed!  Students just finished the American Revolution Unit. They did very well on their final assessment.

The next two weeks, students will study the U.S. Constitution. Now that the colonists have won the war, they are a new nation. How will this nation be governed? This unit explains it all. Every chapter is so important to cover. There are only 10 days remaining this year, so we will move briskly through the unit, but it is too important to skip anything. There will not be a final assessment, but students will be accountable for certain assignments during the unit.

Language Arts: Students will take one last grammar test this week. We will begin a read aloud for Carry On, Mr. Bowditch. Students will complete their stud of the 100 Latin and Greek root words. There will also be a writing project. It is a 5 paragraph essay. Students do not really write this large of an essay until middle school, but this will give them some practice.

Science: We will continue the unit on the respiratory system. This promises to be a very interesting unit.
