This week’s class motto is: Transition is Silent and Efficient, Exit Quietly, Enter Quietly, Silent, Facing Front, Close Together
Each week we will discuss a class
motto. The next two weeks will be spent solidifying the first three.
The next two weeks in class:
History: Students
will continue the unit on Europe in the middle Ages. This is one, of two, main
units. Students learn about the fall of Rome, early Celts, Barbarian tribes,
warfare, and family life in the early middle ages. They will continue to learn
about the geography of Europe, taking a quiz next week.
Science: Students
will begin a unit on electricity. There will be many hands-on experiments and
activities. Take advantage on the monsoon season and watch some
lightning.
Language Arts: Spalding
phonics continues. In grammar, students will continue the classifying and
diagramming of sentences. In Literature, they will read about the master plan
of the goblins and how Curdie fits into the plans.
Math: Students
will finish a unit on multiples and factors, then begin order of operations.
There will be nightly homework, and much work dedicated to the multiplication tables.
