View into Class:

History: Students will finish the unit on Europe in the middle ages, and learn about the Crusades. Students will read about great battles. This will be followed by a unit on China.

Science: Students will continue the unit on meteorology, learning about fronts, winds, atmosphere, and severe weather. There will be many activities.  

Language Arts: Spalding phonics continues. In grammar, students will continue the classifying and diagramming of sentences. Students will diagram complex sentences that contain prepositional phrases. In Literature, they will conclude the adventures of Robin Hood. The theme of whether or not Robin is a hero continues. The unit ends with a discussion on true heroism and an essay. The quarter ends with the reading of Pollyanna.

Math: Students will continue working on multiplication and division. We will review the units we have studied, and then move on to decimals!
