Language Arts: In Language Arts, students should be studying regularly for the 100 Greek and Latin Roots quiz. You can expect to see some short quizzes coming home to help them prepare for this quiz. We will continue in Spalding as usual. In Literature, students will continue reading The Wizard of Oz, and discuss characterization. Students will write a how-to essay.


History: Students will learn about how the capitol was planned and built in DC. They will read about Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and the next two presidents of the United States. They should continue filling out their presidential profiles packets as we read with any new facts they find about each president.

Science: In science, students will spend time preparing for the circulatory system exam and then start their student of the respiratory system. They will learn the pathway of air to the alveoli and how the air is cleaned, warmed, and moistened. 

Math: Students will continue to work with data and probability
